JEWELLERY CARE

Proper maintenance of your jewelry enables them to maintain their vibrancy. Below are the things you can do to maintain your precious metals properly.

How to maintain your precious metals

When bathing, taking a shower, or engaging in heavy exercises, always remember to remove your jewellery to maintain its durability.

Avoid applying cream, spraying perfumes or using other liquids directly onto your jewellery.

Always avoid using bleach, cleaning products or other chemicals on your jewellery.

How to store your jewellery

We recommend that you store your jewellery in the original Mamour Paris Jewellery packaging provided or use other appropriate lined box or soft pouch and place a small packet of desiccant crystals in the packaging if you are living in a humid climate.

We highly recommend that you store your jewellery separately to avoid them rubbing on each other and becoming tangled.

How to clean your precious metals

To maintain the immaculate and vibrant look of your jewellery whilst trying to remove the build-up of dirt and premature tarnish, we recommend you use our Mamour Paris polish cloth, which is always available on upon your request. Avoid rubbing your jewellery in circular motion but in one direction.

You can use a silver cleaner to clean Sterling Silver pieces but not 18ct Rose or Yellow Gold Vermeil. You must avoid using paper towels or tissue papers in cleaning your jewellery as they can cause scratching.

How to prevent your jewellery from Tarnishing

Using anti-tarnish solution on silver sterling products is a brilliant solution, however, with time, it may eventually wear out.
Caring for, wearing and storing your jewellery as mentioned above is very helpful and has proven to be effective.

Cleaning Gemstones

Natural gemstones are usually very delicate therefore; using scalding water, cleaners and harsh chemicals must be avoided at all times.
Note: Always clean your gemstones with clean, soft, damp cloth after wearing.
Turquoise, Hoplites and Emerald are very porous stones and should be cleaned using an untreated, dry, soft cloth only.
